Get Lost to Find Yourself

While therapy is often associated with some of the most painful points in our lives, where we are confused, alone, and feeling broken, it is also often a time of great self-exploration. You can see more of who you are and understand yourself a bit better when you really sit and observe your pain. Often, it takes hitting rock bottom to make time in your life to begin giving your feelings the time of day. In fact, it might be important to enter into those low parts of our lives in order to motivate us to actually look deeper see all of ourselves. Henry David Thoreau expressed it well, “Not until we are lost do we begin to understand ourselves.”

“Not until we are lost do we begin to understand ourselves.”
