You Must Allow Yourself to Move Past Ordinary to Become Extraordinary
I find many of my people-pleasing and otherwise anxious clients are afraid of rocking the boat. They don’t want to do anything that might offend anyone. They almost don’t want to be noticed. It is in that fear of getting noticed that one is also limited. In order to do anything notable, you have to get noticed. And like Ross Perot put it: "Anything that is excellent or praiseworthy stands moment by moment on the cutting edge and must be constantly fought for. Well placed priorities always sit on the edge." If you want to be extraordinary, you cannot continue to only allow yourself to do what is ordinary. You must test limits in order to push past them. This is innovation, to go where others have not. Your anxiety will never allow you to truly excel. You need to get comfortable going somewhere you are uncertain to inspire.
