Goals in Therapy

Why do we set goals in therapy? Well, like Confucius said: "If you chase two rabbits, you catch none." We figure out which direction we want to head in order to make sure that we actually get there. When it comes to all of the problems in a person’s life, it is easy to get side-tracked, and you end up getting maybe a little further along, but you don’t actually achieve anything. When you come to therapy, you want things to get accomplished. So, don’t be afraid to name a goal, because once you reach it, you can move onto the next one.

"If you chase two rabbits,

you catch none.”

~ Confucius
