Hope Inspires

I’m not one for toxic positivity, where it is implied that feeling bad is a choice, or that it’s your fault for not staying positive enough. However, practicing positivity does actually help. Like Walt Whitman’s words, "Keep your face always toward the sunshine - and shadows will fall behind you." When you turn you focus on the wonderous possibilities in front of you, it is easier to forget the hardships from your past. It’s almost like the light is hope, and while shadows can tell us a lot about what has happened, make details more clear, and are worth looking upon, seeing the sunshine is inspiring, and it keeps us going.

"Keep your face always toward the sunshine - and shadows will fall behind you."

~ Walt Whitman
