Relief Found in the Small Steps Moving Forward

Therapy is all about pushing past limits. We don’t do so irresponsibly, but that is the point, to change and grow. And like chef Anna Olson put it: "Like the turtle, you need to stick your neck out to make progress." We don’t kick you out of your shell completely, but you must risk a little bit of yourself to move forward. Some of us are deeply afraid of doing that, and spend far too many years avoiding therapy, or even change entirely. However there is a significant relief almost when you finally do it, because you see that you are capable of more than you thought - you feel stronger and more hopeful that you can build the life you want for yourself.

"Like the turtle, you need to stick your neck out to make progress."

~ Anna Olson
