Look Deeper for Wonder

When thinking about how to get into mindfulness, I’ll often advise people to look at the world around them. But not just noticing what is there, but the symbolism of every small thing you see. See the beauty that is written about in poetry and music and feel the meanings that have gathered about them in your brain. You create magic in your mind when you notice the power and loveliness of the worth around you and writer your own story about them. So, enjoy how John Muir sees nature in these words below, because he does a great job at seeing the depth in a simple hike: "Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop away from you like the leaves of Autumn."

"Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop away from you like the leaves of Autumn."

~ John Muir
